We believe in the importance of maintaining a first
class police service in Hong Kong. As such it is necessary for the force
to attract high callibre individuals at recruitment ranks who will then
serve a full career , often for more than 30 years. Officers in police
service should have a career package that truly reflects the dangers ,
responsibilities of police work and the high degree of trust society places
in us.
The SPA is the staff association formed to represent members
views in various meetings with the Government HKSAR through the Police
Force Council (PFC) and with Senior Force management through the Senior
Consultative Committee (SCC). Committee members , elected every two years,
attend both PFC and SCC meetings as well as the many briefings and sub-committee
meetings that are arranged. Meetings attended and the upcoming list of
consultations are summarised under Events. The
committee is also a point of contact for visiting delegations from overseas
police forces and the other staff associations in the HKSAR Government.
