Membership

On promotion or appointment to the rank of Superintendent in the Hong Kong Police colleagues are invited to join the SPA. Annual fees of $100HK are collected and this nominal amount is used to run the association administration and activities.

The SPA currently has 392 members, who are all serving police officers in Hong Kong at Superintendent, Senior Superintendent and Chief Superintendent. Associate members of ACP rank and above are also welcome and are subject to the same annual fee. The members elect an SPA Executive Committee (EC) every two years.

As a member of the Association you will receive regular e-mail updates on Association discussions with management and Civil Service Branch. These updates are available in the Members Area along with a summary of documents, letters and comments from members. The SPA EC welcomes your Feedback on current issues.

As a new service to members in 2002 we invite members current and old colleagues to e-mail the SPA to post a message to other members on our Message Board. The message board will show the Name of Member or old colleague , current contact e-mail address , message from the member and a picture (.jpg format please) sent in to us and date of message. The messages will be sorted with the latest message at the top.
